This is the start to my wind-chime I made a double wall and then added glass into it. I hand made the other pieces and measured where the holes are so each piece can properly hang down. I glazed them with lavender glaze and clear so it would be translucent and would look nice with the colorful glass.
This is a salsa dish that I made, when throwing I opened twice like you would with a planter but I did not add the holes. Instead I took two slabs and I created dividers in the outside bowls and on the inside bowl I gave the divider a different curvy shape to it. I used slip to put them together and I will glaze each section different. These are four bowls that I stained with black and did different insects in each. Very simple but joined theme.
these are the 9 bowls I made that I mixed with red and white or mixer clay. On each of them I stained black into an abstract patters but only on half of each of the projects. On each of the projects I placed tape down and then I painted on the pattern, when I removed the tape it gave a clear line that the eye will naturally fill in. This gives a sharp and clean cut contrast to the more freely stained on black.
these are six bowls that I made, they are all moderately the same size. I purposely made the base of each of these bowls quite thick for the purpose of footing styles. The top two bowls I added red clay when wedging it and mixed the clay together. I learned that when mixing clay, not just mixer clay and red clay but also porcelain which is much softer it is harder to throw with two types of hardness/texture and softness.
