These are four bowls that I stained with black and did different insects in each. Very simple but joined theme.
these are the 9 bowls I made that I mixed with red and white or mixer clay. On each of them I stained black into an abstract patters but only on half of each of the projects. On each of the projects I placed tape down and then I painted on the pattern, when I removed the tape it gave a clear line that the eye will naturally fill in. This gives a sharp and clean cut contrast to the more freely stained on black.
these are six bowls that I made, they are all moderately the same size. I purposely made the base of each of these bowls quite thick for the purpose of footing styles. The top two bowls I added red clay when wedging it and mixed the clay together. I learned that when mixing clay, not just mixer clay and red clay but also porcelain which is much softer it is harder to throw with two types of hardness/texture and softness.
these are three bowls and three mugs that I made today. They are basic medium size bowls and some I used mixer clay and red clay to combine it and smear around. The mugs I used dove clay and red clay where I threw with white clay them added red clay as a centered and pulled.
this is a double wall project. I used a sharp tool to create negative space into the top where I made a spout/hole to be able to be functional. I then added a handle where I can then use it after its fired for functional use
these are two mugs where I scraped out the same pattern but they are opposites of each other. On the right one I also added slip to it
one set of the mugs. Stained with cobalt blue and also used water to my advantage having specific places darker or lighter. I also scraped out lines making each mug very light
these are the two hand juicers that I used a footing tool with to define its edges. I will do a simple glaze on these
